SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium (1999): This one is a FIGHTING Game! | Capcom Quest #228

For a handheld game, it looks amazing! Capcom Quest of SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium. The first fighting game crossover between the companies.

Wow... How much love was put into this game! Snk brought everything, soo sad that Neo Geo Pocket was not so popular.

Starting with the good old arcade mode, here we have three options, 1x1, 2x2 fights with the possibility to change characters during the match (MvC feelings) and 3x3 in a KoF style! In addition there are three special bars (SF, KoF and Samurai).

There are 26 characters in all, an excellent number for a fighting game, even more because it's portable. Most of these characters are unlockable with the game's purchase system. And I have to say that Snk did a great job on the cast.

By default, the game leaves the commands in simplified mode (Ex: Hadouken = forward + punch), but you can change the time you want in the options, doing this you will have more access to the normal attacks that depend on directional.

There are only two attack buttons on the laptop, one for punch and other for kick, if you hold on it will come out strong and if you let go fast it will be the weak one. Nice idea!

There is also an upgrade system. Yeah, you buy new specials for the characters, there’s even one I’ve never seen from Morrigan, she seems to use a "Leigan" at the end, hahahaahha.

Arcade mode offers battles between rivals too, with that nice dialogue (if you lose you will not see the real ending).

One bad thing is the difficulty of the last bosses in "Single" mode. Evil Ryu, Iori Orochi, Bison and Geese are too broken here, if you try, choose a good character.

And to conclude, there're several extra modes! We have minigames like Metal Slug and Ghost n Goblins and also Survival and Time Attack. A very complete game. Congrats Snk!

The order of Striders lives!
