I didn't remember that this version was so frantic. Capcom Quest of Darkstalkers 3! Time to stop Jedah to recreating the world.
Jedah's Damnation, The Lord of Vampire (1 or 2), Darkstalkers 3, Vampire Savior ... Call it what you like, this is until then, the last episode of this classic!
Unlike Revenge this one has a new story, where Jedah, one of the noble Makai, is in order to recreate the world. For this he needs the souls of powerful warriors to feed the new Majigen dimension.
Therefore, the endings of ALL characters are new! And that is precisely why I consider this to be Darkstalkers 2. Revenge works more like an update than a sequel.
The news we have the Dark Force System, which when used your character receives a kind of power up. The proposal is very similar to SFV's V-Trigger (even the way it is activated).
Now whenever a character takes damage, part of the HP will be regenerable, more specifically the white bar, the greater the damage is the greater the bar becomes.
The game just got faster than ever! I really felt that the speed of the gameplay increased and not only that, now the rounds don't stop! When you win one, you immediately start the other, not even you recover your HP. lol
If there was any graphic improvement, it was very subtle. But Capcom has taken care of the new scenarios. I like the building a lot with this perspective! Genius \ o /
And of course the main attraction is the new characters. In addition to the villain BAD ASS Jedah, we have Lilith, Q-Bee and my favorite Bulleta/B.B Hood, the most angry red riding hood in games.
We still have some secret characters like Oboro Bishamon who is a stronger version of the warrior who even gains a new moveset. And Dark J. Talbain/Gallon, who honestly saw no difference beyond the sprite. o.O
Other than that, there's Shadow and Marionette. The proposal of both is to make you play with several characters throughout the gameplay. Shadow will control the character you defeated and Marionette will make you play mirror match throughout arcade mode.
And 8 years later Capcom launched the Vampire: Darkstalkers Collection, bringing not only ALL the games in the series, but also a new character that is Dee, Donovan's Darkstalker version!
I do not believe this is the last time I speak about the series. I think Capcom is going to do a new episode of Darkstalkers sooner or later.
