And so the era of Beat 'em Ups ends! Capcom Quest of Battle Circuit. Capcom's farewell to one of the most influential genres of games!
I admit that after so many reviews of beat ups here, I feel a little sad to do this. lol
Battle Circuit proposal is very similar to Captain Commando. A futuristic world with very different heroes. A lot different indeed...
You just control a grappler plant (Zangief Style) and an ostrich that only takes commands from a child.
Also a fashion model half-human half-tiger (?) with a mini fox side kick. An elastic man with icy powers and a nerfed Captain Commando. What a cast huh!?
The story comes down to preventing Dr. Saturn from using the "Shiva System", a floppy disk that has the power to control all the computers in the world, and is in possession of Johnny (who does Elvis cosplay), the boss of Delete Gang.
And well, you know, right? This game is a beat 'em up, I don't have much to explain. I think the highlight in the gameplay is the power ups, which each character buffs the entire group when using.
But I leave here my praise for creativity. The scenarios and the bosses are one better than the other, haahahahaha. Too awesome \o/
And well, I think that's it. Perhaps this is the last time I write about this genre here. Unless Capcom surprises us with new releases. Thanks for this incredible era, Cap.
