Demon's Crest (1994): The Firebrand's Revenge | Capcom Quest #145

The definitions of HARD final boss have been updated! Capcom Quest of Demon's Crest! The final chapter of the Firebrand saga.

Yeah, I also wish this series have more episodes, but something happened (sales?) that made this the last episode of the spin-off.

At least in Brazil, this game was a huge success for my 90's generation. But of course, the games here came years after the release, not to mention the piracy...

I always imagined Demon's an excellent rival from Castlevania. Maybe it's for the theme, or the exploration.

But one thing is for sure, this is one of the most beautiful Super Nintendo games, the sprites and the background are beautifully set in that Halloween climate! Dude, Capcom was way too good here.

The story takes place after the first Gargoyle's Quest (since the II is a prequel). Phalanx a demon who wants to dominate both worlds, steals 4 Crest from Firebrand and aims to collect all 6. It's up to you to end it!

Each Crest gives Firebrand a transformation, most of them being won in battles against Arma, Phalanx General! All of them are necessary to progress in the game.

You can collect potions and scrolls (to use as magic) hidden in the levels, as well as talismans that increase your attributes, such as defense, attack, drop, etc...

Once again we have the shots from previous games, all with the same features..

I found the last boss harder than the secret one. To face these you must have picked up all the items in the game, and the secret you need to beat and wait until the password shows up!

The Infinity Crest is the fusion of all 5 and still has the charged shot. It's a relief to use it because one of the bad things in this game is that you always have to pause to change transformation. I never understood why Capcom didn't let these changes be made with L and R...
