X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse (1994): The Magneto's Plans! | Capcom Quest #143

Thank goodness there were passwords because if not... Capcom Quest of X Men: Mutant Apocalypse, the mutants debut in a Capcom game!

I remembered this game was hard, but getting stuck for over an hour in the first stage was beyond expected, hahahahah

I found the beginning a lot harder than the rest. Of course this is due to the password (which you only get after the early stages) but beyond that the later stages are not big deal.

Except for this one in the lava, it's very easy to pass this part with Beast, but when you reach the Apocalypse you will suffer a lot. So it is best to train Cyclops Optical Blast and then face the boss.

Gambit has always been my favorite Marvel character (thanks to X Men vs SF) and here I also found him the best character to play. The guy has fire ball, good range and he's fast!

Capcom also did a great job on Psylocke's sprites, don't you think?

Magneto is goddamn hard! Although his HP does not regenerate through attempts, I wasn't be able to touch him in many times. Surely the best character to face this boss is Wolverine, because he is fast and also climb the walls, making it easier to escape the projectiles!

It is a good game with a slow gameplay (only Wolverine and Gambit are faster). The mechanic of character death is cool but loses meaning since you can use password and bring them back (thank God),

Magneto still broken!
