I can not believe that I took 5 hours to beat with 4 characters again! Capcom Quest of Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, the debut of ALL MIGHTY CPS II.
Just recapping, I promised to beat with all characters through the 5 classic versions of SF II, and now was the time of newcomers, T. Hawk, Fei Long, Dee Jay and Cammy.
This was the first official version I played SF II (I had only played the bootleg version), I actually said that the more recent the updates, the easier they are. Again I was wrong...
T. Hawk came out to be an improved Zangief in this version. The range of his strong attacks are excellent, not to mention that his condor dive is perfect for approaches, after all he's a grappler, it helps a lot!
The difficulty I had to play with him was precisely because of the dive. Often the command goes wrong (three punches in the air) getting open guard.
I gave up using Fei Long's full Rekka because the enemy always blocked and I was exposed to counter-attacks. But using the first hit is an excellent frame trap and nice to do okizeme.
I think the best part was finding out that the character scenario exists in real life, and it's beautiful! It even has the Phoenix and the two Dragons Statue.
I do not know why but I had a hard time fighting with Dee Jay (more than the others). The funny thing is that he is my favorite of the 4.
Dee Jay is one of the few characters that has wake up, and it's a awesome wake up, for sure!
Sometimes I think my gamepad is not working well because there are some commands that doesn't respond, I did everything and I couldn't do Cammy's Axle Spin Knuckle...
We can't deny that the character sprites were very well detailed (͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡ °)
As I said the cpu still difficult, but they gave a plus in some characters like Dee Jay and Fei Long, I always lose a lot in these two, even they were the first ones.
Something that completely changed my mind was about Vega (claw). For me he was the hardest of all, but know I think he's the easiest. All this because he always use a lot back dash, and now I find out that his final frames are negative, excellent to do some grabs!
The game received improvements in almost everything, including giving new endings for the 4 villains. But for me, the best was Cammy's and her "romance" with Bison, looool.
WIKIPEDIA MOMENT:
The CPS-2 were two separate parts; an A-board, which connects to JAMMA wiring and contains common components between the games for CPS-2, and a B-board, which contains the game itself. So it was like a consoles (A) and a cartridge (B). In addition there were several colors referring to the continents that were distributed:
Blue: U.S.A., Canada and Europe
Green: Japan
Orange: South America
Gray: Asia
Yellow: "Region 0" (for rental only)
Black: "Region 0" incorporates plates A and B in the same unit.
