That was a hard time. Capcom Quest of Street Fighter V. A troubled start.
Haste makes waste.
I remember how hyped the announcement trailer for this game was. "Passion, it's how we do what we do." Unfortunately things went wrong at the beginning.
SFV brought the controversial "V-System" mechanic. A bar that you could fill to activate your "V-Trigger" and have a huge comeback potential (depending on the character).
The "V-System" also consisted of "V-Skill" and "V-Reversal". Each character had their own and this made it very difficult to balance the cast.
Another thing that was the offline content, not even the Shadow Falls story mode was available in the first version.
And the bad online mode. To this day I still don't quite understand what happened, but throughout its journey, SFV was heavily criticized for its poor online.
Regarding the Newcomers, Rashid and Laura were definitely the highlights. Necalli dosen't suprised me, haha.
But one thing that deserves praise is the game's OST. Capcom really outdid themselves here, I actually think this Street Fighter is the best when it comes to music.
SFV has evolved a lot over the years, I'll play the "Arcade" and "Champion" versions. But I can say that Capcom managed to raise the level of the competitive scene A LOT with this game.
