What a tired start. Capcom Quest of E.X. Troopers! Lost Planet anime version.
Another game that I would never have discovered if it weren't for this project.
Despite being from the Lost Planet franchise, only the Akrids and VS make references to the series. Otherwise it's quite different.
The story is the famous one where a young man tries to be the best at something and ends up saving the world in the end, very cliché but it works.
The cel shading + manga style makes everything more charismatic too! I think this is one of the arts that has aged well over the years.
Unfortunately, I felt that the game took a while to get going. Until halfway through the story I was lost where to go to get missions and also these missions are very "tutorial/repetitive".
And the purpose of the game is this, go on a mission, kill a wave of enemies or defend your territory. From the middle to the end things improve a little, whether in the plot, bigger missions and new skills.
Capcom did a great job of customizing here! There are several weapons and clothes to buy and unlock in the game.
I thinki it could become something bigger (and less tiring at first). The game certainly didin't sell much otherwise probably would have sequels. A shame, because the characters and story are really cool. (Ps: Thanks to the "Fan Translator International" team for the localization).
Maybe online mode is fun
