This was a big surprise. Capcom Quest of Shijyou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi: Gekitou! Ragnarok Hachikengou. With a name like that, there's not much to write about.
It's official, this is the biggest game name Capcom has ever made.
I don't know anything about this anime, except the fact that the protagonist is trained by the greatest martial arts masters.
What I was surprised is to see an anime game in 2007 made by Capcom, at that time Bandai already made practically all anime games.
The gameplay is wonderful! You have easy one-button sequences, but you also have special commands like in Street Fighter.
There are several modes, such as arcade, score, survival, mission, time attack... In these you can choose all the fighters you face in story mode, in addition to having two fighting styles, one focused on defense and counter and the other on attack and specials.
The story mode is definitely the highlight, it has several minigames, tutorials and fights. A pity that my Japanese is still not so good to understand everything.
This was the first fighting game that 8ing co-developed with Capcom. The next one would be a very unusual crossover.
