Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny (2002): Jubei's Revenge | Capcom Quest #298

How to make an excellent game with a bad final boss. Capcom Quest of Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny! Jubei and his friends looking for Nobunaga's head.

The game is excellent at what it proposes, unfortunately it's a shame that in the end there's a horrible boss...

Samurai's Destiny takes place years after the Warlords, where after the defeat of Fortinbras, Nobunaga himself took command of the army and attacked several cities. Among these, the village of Jubei was decimated, and that was the reason of the legendary samurai's revenge.

Maybe what makes players drop the game is the gift system, in it you deliver items to your allies, in exchange you get another item and increase your affinity with them.

This directly influences the gameplay, many times when you are dying, one of the 4 allies will appear to help you. Also, there are unique scenarios with each of them. This greatly increases the game's replay, as it is only possible to do all scenarios after beat a few times.

All gameplay mechanics are based on Warlords, even some weapons and specials are identical. Which honestly doesn't mess at all...

One big improvement it is no longer necessary to level up the gauntlet to access new areas. Now you just need new weapons for that, much better!

Highlight also for the very charismatic villains. Among them my favorite is definitely Gogandantess. The guy is a very stylish tokusatsu even when he dies: "Tell me my name".

You can even get a secret sword after beating the "Dark Realm" but it doesn't like Bishamon from the first game. I advise upgrade the sledgehammer up to Lv.3, this one is really strong!!!

About the puzzles they are excellent! The new calculations were too cool.

My only complaint is the final boss. I don't know, that statue was unnecessary. I advise you to take some herbs to fight him.
