"I tried to do a Samurai Resident Evil and look what happened" Capcom Quest of Onimusha: Warlords! Samanosuke slicing a lot demons.
I didn't know that Onimusha was supposed to be a Resident Evil ... Yeah, it was the same way as Devil May Cry.
But despite that, I don't feel like I'm playing a Resident Evil when I play Onimusha. Quite the contrary, only the puzzles remind me of the classic survivor horror.
The combat mechanics are very simple, you can switch between swords and weapons and each sword has a different special, which makes it easier to fight bosses.
The only advanced technique is counterattack. There are two ways to do this, the weakest is that you parry with the defense and attack immediately afterwards. However, if you only attack at the right moment of the enemy's attack, you will do much greater damage.
Unfortunately the progress of the game depends on you leveling up the elements swords that are in the gauntlet, and if I'm not mistaken, you get NOTHING for that.
A mini map would also help, but my biggest criticism is that lack of jumping. This enemy, for example, is a pain in the ass, we cannot reach him from above.
Puzzles and more puzzles, and they're great! Most are optional where you solve and get an upgrade to Samanosuke, but the water one is too hard xD
The moments you play with Kaede are really cool, too bad I was unable to explore all of her moveset.
It is VERY worth to beat the Dark Realm! In addition to winning many souls you will be able to use the best sword in the game, which is too strong!!!
The final boss is a joke if you have the Bishamon Sword. I thought he would have a second form, that was so easy, hahahahahaha.
