Now I understand why this is the favorite of many! Capcom Quest of Breath of Fire IV. The halves of a God journey.
Damn it, Capcom. When you want to do something epic, no one holds you back! What a story...
BoF IV leaves many things open, including the link to previous games. Particularly, I believe this is the first on the timeline, where the "Endless" are beings that came from the future.
It is visible that Capcom intended to show the two faces of human beings. While Ryu finds several companions with good examples, Fou-Lu only trusted one person, and that one didn't have a good ending.
As in BoF II, the characters have different goals. Ryu wants to find his other part, Nina and Cray are after Nina's older sister, Deis wants to go back to her time and Ursula to defend her kingdom. Only Scias joined the party because he liked.
I really love the new design of Deis/Bleu, when I saw that she was the "hostess" I felt so happy, hahahahahahaha.
This is the most accessible game in the series, so far. You can use all the characters during the fights, make combinations of spells and the world map is very simplified, not to mention that the grind is also very smooth.
But that does not mean that you will have no difficulty. I just didn't get stuck in Fou-Lu's castle because I was watching a walkthrough, honestly this is a huge maze!!!
The game followed a new artistic style, I still prefer the previous games, but this one remains as beautiful. And it still has an opening in anime, that's soo nice!!
Of all the villains in the game, the most coward ended up leaving good. Yuna and his desire to create gods. Following the way that this is the first game on the timeline, it would make total sense that Yuna was the creator of Myria.
Anyway, this episode is a work of art and really deserves the title of being a Breath of Fire. It is only sad to see the amount of censorship in the American version (Scias stop being drunk to be a stutterer was sad).
