X-Men vs. Street Fighter (1996): The Worlds Collide | Capcom Quest #177

There are no words to express so much love. Capcom Quest of X Men vs. Street Fighter! The beginning of the Versus series!

Capcom used the partnership that had with Marvel, in addition to the sprites already modeled for other games and launched this wonderful game. It was win or win!

Despite the reuse, many attacks received a new version. Also, all the stages are new and beautiful!

Gambit and Rouge make their debut on the Marvel side, as well as Logan's older brother Sabertooth. The villain Apocalypse is only playable in the versus mode of the Playstation version.

But on the Capcom's side, only Cammy makes her debut in her alpha style. Well, although this sprite represents her in the alpha series, the origin was in this game.

The game brings some mechanics from previous games, such as aerial combos and alpha counters. But without a doubt what most caught the attention were the legendary team special!

And these specials have a big influence on the choice of the duo. Sometimes one does not match well with the other and you end up using 2 bars for nothing.

One fan fact is that Ken adapts to Ryu's special and also does a Shinku Hadoken!

I remember that I played very well with Gambit and even made his infinite combos, but nowadays I can't even do aerial combos.

Unfortunately, I didn't done well with Zangief. Juggernaut may be slow, but the range of his attacks is excellent. Zangief is a little more complicated...

What about Apocalypse? This boss battle is awesome! Although it's not hard, if you let the drill touch you, you will lose a lot life, even in defense.

And to finish, a fight against your partner to decide who is the strongest! What a game, my friends, what a game.

Would that be dominoes poker?
