There are 19 characters, 4 exclusive to arcade version and 2 for consoles. I decided to beat 9 this time, leaving the rest for the next episode.
Mortal Kombat's inspiration is obvious here (especially in this scenario), but unfortunately the gameplay's quality didn't come close...
Let's start with the fact that is possible to target the Hadoukens (Ryu and Ken), and the funniest thing is that I managed to make the projectile back.
Guile can combine a double sweep with somersault, and it is easy to buffer the command, the character is positive after the sweep. Not to mention that it is possible to use somersault in the air.
Chun-li always scream when she performing her attacks. Especially the Spinning Bird Kick!!
This is the first time in history that Akuma is not secret. The character still dope, and he has a new rainbow hadouken!
For some reason Balrog and Zangief are able to return projectiles, and their movement is much faster than normal.
The unique characters of this version are the variations of the Shadaloo soldiers. Three of them are secret, and the F7's move list is the fusion of all soldiers.
Sawada was the best character that I played. His somersaults and special are very positive, the range is almost the whole screen and I am still safe if the opponent defends.
Bison with a Psycho Crusher that stun you with two hits, Sagat with the paralyzing eye and Akuma who always predicts your moves is the trio of big bosses. You have to be patient...
As good as the intention of the game was (to get Mortal Kombat's success), the execution was terrible! Even the scenarios are not beautiful.
And last but not least, the game has a grabs counter system. You can even counter the counter until you performe the SLAM MASTER! To be even better, if you stun the opponent and use grab on him, he can punish you whit this counter.
