I think at that time no one complained about buying a "DLC" game, especially now that you can play with the bosses! Capcom Quest of Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, the legend continues in a new update!
Like I said in the last review, I will beat with 4 characters per version, and as now we can play with bosses, of course they would be the chosen ones! Unfortunately they were very Nerfed.
Maybe it's because from the slow "startup", but most of the time that I performed the Balrog's "straight" I was punished by the CPU! And honestly, the range form his "fierce" is perfect for "whiff punish", which made me use it more than his special attacks.
Another thing that I got mad was his throw, Balrog does a lot of head butts on his opponent, but I did everything, I pressed all the buttons, I turned D-Pad and even then the CPU only take 1 miserable HIT. But when they catch me, I take several hits ¬¬ '
How I missed the V-Skill that crosses projectiles, the fireball gaming is a nightmare against Boxer. If the cpu "zoning" well, you'll never hit it! The Balrog's jumps are too slow and the only resource to approach is the "straight", that is always punished by any attack!
This is one of the reasons I've always think the criticism about sexy female characters is foolishness. Remembering that Zangief has only been in his underwear since 1991!
I do not know why Capcom made the Tiger Knee command so weird. In whole gameplay I've trying to execute that meme, and only now I discovered that it is quarter-circle forward + upper diagonal front with kick! Damn, this is the first time I see such a command.
Somehow, Sagat is sucks against Blanka, the beast gets mad when face him! I know there is some SF II version where our shocking boy is dope, but in this one I only had problems with Sagat! It took me about 30 minutes to win.
And of course Bison was very annoying. Take a look how many fights I've did to beat this run! I do not believe Tiger Knee would help me that much.
Vega is the boss that was less nerfed in this version. He's so fast that sometimes bugs the hurt boxes enemies, and also he's the only one that has a kind of back dash.
Another good thing is that his throw seems to be easier to execute than the others, and he needs to take 14 hits on block to lose his claw. The only problem is the "Rolling Crystal Flash" is very punishable..
The first time I tried to execute Bison's "Double Knee" somehow I didn't. So, I thought they nerfed this attack (which is not true) and I only used the classic Psycho Crusher! You just have to be careful with the corner!
And it was with the Shadaloo boss that I really got "salty" in one specific moment! My God, how did Ryu does such a perfect zoning against him? The guy simply becomes the king of footsies and somehow the Bison's jump has the perfect range for Ryu attacks.
And thanks GOD I only had problems with Ryu, because any other character that has uppercut + spell could have done the same zoning! Lucky the cpu helps me on this, otherwise wouldn't be another stream with more than 5 hours!
The bosses ending are very similar but not the same. There is an position swap in the background and also the text about each character! But I admit that Capcom could have done better here.
Some things changed in this version, Ken is more crazy because every time he does shoryuken, Guile is not punishing many jumps with his somersault, Vega is no more the king of whiff punish, and Bison no longer has that double scissors with stun.
There were some people that thought was possible to get these stones from the scenario, lol. This was the only legend that nobody here from my neighborhood spread. And that's it, let's go to the next challenge!
