We arrived at the fourth episode of Mega MEMES adventures on the nostalgic Famicom! Capcom Quest of Mega Man 4, now we can charge the buster!
Nowadays we know that Willy is always the final boss of any classic Mega Man game, but I think Capcom was able to troll some players, because Dr Cossack really looks like a villain.
Something I noticed in this episode is that the Robot Masters battles are much easier to "cheating" the enemy. For example Toad and Pharaoh man just freeze after takes a charge shot, something like that also happens with other bosses.
The Bosses are easy, but the stages are not, most of them require those precisely jumps, and others also has sub bosses. Highlight for the Ring Man stage that has hidden platforms and 4 sub bosses!
This one is also the first game that are hidden items, something that would become much more frequent, especially in the X series! On the Mega Memes 4 we won the Wire, which is a rope that hangs you on top, and the classic balloon platform.
And unfortunately it was in this game too, that our dear Rush was BRUTALLY nerfed. He's not able to fly freely around the scene anymore, now our little dog just goes forward and can go up or down, but still extremely useful!
As everyone knew that Wily's Castle would come after face all the Robot Masters, Capcom once again tried to innovate and made another castle followed. I believe this was an inspiration in Mega Man 3, where we have to face the Doc Robots.
This is the most lazy boss design I've seen in the history of video games, it's just a simple square that you have to hit it in the core. I do not know, bro...
And this time, the overpowered weapon is the Ring Boomerang, most of the bosses from the both Castles takes more damage on it. Including the first Willy's form.
I don't no why but, I wasn't able to hit Willy's second form just jumping and shooting, I had to use the balloons and a lot of E tanks to get rid of it. Maybe this is a Legacy Collection bug.
Yeah, the end is that old story, save the world, Willy apologizes, and everything goes well, until the next attack of this crazy old man!
As we know, once again Capcom made the Robot Masters Contest, and this time had over the outstanding 70,000 entries. The winners from this game's contest received a golden Rockman 4 cartridge, and also their cartoons turned to a boss. Everyone that participated received the booklet Rockman Character Collection.
