Destiny of an Emperor II (1991): The oldie RPG is back! | Capcom Quest #078

After all, we have to decide the fate of the empire again! Capcom Quest of Destiny of an Emperor II, more 17 hours of a lot strategy and memes on this HUGE RPG!

This was the very first time that Capcom used the company's current logo in a game! But it still didn't have the iconic sound which play with the image.

Thanks to one kind soul (I think it's the CTC) I was able to play this translated version in English, after all the game was only released in Japan and I wouldn't understand anything about the menus, to be honest even in English I had some problems with the way that the game followed.

I say this because unlike the first version, this one has a lot of BACKTRACKING, if you do not pay attention on the story, you'll run the entire map until find where need to go. Besides that, the maps are hidden and sometimes doesn't show where exactly to go.

This time you don't have to worry about any kind of grinding. In fact in some villages/castles there are places that you pay to level up, and honestly after a 4 hours of gameplay you'll already have a huge amount of money to buy what you want.

In several major clashes, there is a easy way to win the battles, like this one that I set fire on all ships. And with this, each turn they took 30% damage from their HP.

Another thing that changed is the recruitment, I still think that the number of warriors are huge, but it less than the previous one. You no longer recruit after winning a random battle, you need to talk with some warriors who stay in the villages.

Something that I got mad was the several unexpected changes of members in my party. In many times the warriors go out to solve some bullshit, then all the items you bought for that guy use, have to re put in other member!!

Once you get a nice team and a high level, you learn a spell called "LuoShi" or Luo something, which is its variations. My friend, this does such a great damage that I kind only used that to beat the game. Usually takes a 50% HP from enemies.

Also we have a new mechanic, the hp points are actually soldiers from their generals, and this is since the first version. But in this episode the damage is proportional to the amount of soldiers you have, something that makes sense but it's quite annoying.

In the end we have this double battle to reconquer all China once again (that Luo magic helps a lot in this fight). Defeating them is game over, let's go to the next challenge \ o /

Back in Black... And white xD
