And we arrived on Capcom Quest 70! With this HUGE game!!! Mega Man III, one of the most ambitious episode that Capcom ever made from Blue Bomber!
After the AMAZING success from Mega Man II, Capcom showed a gigantic effort for next episode. A proof of this is that this game took 2 years to be released, which normally would take just one! And my friends, how many new things are here!
There are two new features already in beginning, the slide which is a dash and also Rush, that serves as a coil, but later it turns into a GOD LIKE Jet! Only in this episode, Rush can fly freely through the screen! And there's the Marine, which is not a great things xD.
Another new is that during some stages, we have to face a robot, better known as Break Man! He is not that hard, he just run from side to side, jumping and shooting...
The game follows the same way as II, and this, as you all know, becomes standard even today! We have 8 Robot Masters, each one with their own weapon and weakness, in addition to having some "sub bosses" at some stages.
I thought the stages shorter than the previous games, but it happens thanks to another news! This is also the only franchise's game where you have to defeat ALL the bosses from the last episode, on stages with different level design!
This is a HUGE extra content! Nowadays, that would definitely be a DLC. Times change...
After defeating all 16 Robot Masters, has that meme we all already know! Willy Castle, with some stages and also the Boss Rush! Actually I thought this one not so hard like the others.
And than we have to face the two Willy Machines, which again, are much easier than the previous ones! If you use the right weapon from their weakness, will not even need of E-Tanks xD. It's just a bit annoying to use the Top Man power.
Finally we have the surprise that Break Man, in fact is called ProtoMEMES, I mean Proto Man or Blues, and he is Rock's old brother. And also that "Wiley" went to a better place... (OR WILL NOT?). this is definitely Mega Man's most ambitious episode!
The second Robot Master contest had over 50,000 entries. More than 5 times than the first one. Once again all 8 bosses was created by fans and some entries received a pencil case and ID card as prize.
These shoot 'em ups are like chimeras! You beat one and another 30 rises!
