Higemaru Makai Jima (1987): It's Open World now! | Capcom Quest #021

This week was really trash for Capcom Quest! I tried to play Higemaru Makai Jima on stream but I was completely lost in the game and had to beat it offline. Well, here is my suffering xD


The game starts with you lost in this giant "One Piece" sea, and are several islands but you have to collect keys that drops from pirate ships captains to get access on them




But something that I particularly think is a mistake, is that you need to find the right pirate ship for every game step! Otherwise the captain will not drop the key. There is no way to know what the sequence. You need to get luck on this!




Also has no way to know which island to dock, and seriously, there are many ships and islands in this game, I think are about 10...




The game has the same gameplay from its predecessor, but now in the open world, probably was inspired by Zelda with a lot backtracking and items. But it's pretty original, each island is unique and very challenging...




The bosses are pretty easy in general, of course if you let some HP to beat them. Only the final boss who is the FUCKIN FIREBRAND from Makaimura series, is hard as hell! He comes out firing and moving around really fast to hit him...



There is a way to not face him, is just catch one sword that is blessed by God. But I didn't find it in my run. It's a good game, with secrets on the map and everything, just beginning is soo confusing.



 

If was made by Capcom it has to appear in Capcom Quest, right?
